Finally, I managed to take pictures of my frock coat that I made for WGT because I feared that it could be as cold as last year.
Well, luckily there are more occassions to wear it ;)

It is intended to go over a hoop skirt, it can be worn without one as well, but the seam is so wide that it looks way better with one.

It doesn't fit perfect, but OK, I think I managed to change it as good as possible.

The frock coat is made of dark violet "jeans" fabric (darker than on the picture), slightly elastic and decorated with black lace overlays, and fully lined.

I've sumbitted this one under "clothing" rather than costumes, because although it was intended for a special occassion, it can be worn on every day as well (well, I would do ... ) and "gothic" does mean for me dressing up for a night and playing the evil vampire ;) but it's the way I am ..

It looks fab, I'd be chuffed to have a jacket as nice as that. By 'jeans fabric' do you mean purple denim? I didn't even know you could buy that, thats very cool.

But I even don't wear the whole outfit, I made a different blouse and the black velvet corset from my gallery for it, but OK, you won't see it under the jacket ;)

.. perhaps I didn't use the right word, I'm not sure.
The fabric is woven like denim ( ;) ) fabric is ... but less stiff although thick enough ... hmm, hard to explain :D

Hmmm, perhaps you have used purple cotton drill, looking at the photo again your coat doesn't hang as if it is made from denim. The purple fabric will remain a mystery :)
