Artist's Comments
This is my victorian Ball Gown.
I already finished it half a year ago, but I didn't have good pictures so far. It is made from not very authentic black polyester satin, but nevertheless it is a very good fabric and it really doesn't look like fancy dress. The skirt has a black linen foundation on which I put the pleated parts at first, and then the drapery which is not an extra part of the dress like on my other victorian gowns. The pleats are made entirely by myself, it took about four days to do that, but it was worth it, I think  The bodice is made from a pattern I found in a book by Jean Hunnisett. The entire gown is decorated with tons of black paillettes and handmade black satin roses on the front drapery and the bodice. You can see more pictures here for the details: [link] |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
